"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Easy eights are great.

From Nevels on Tue, Jul 21, 2009 at 12:44:53 from 131.204.15.93

I'm jealous of your weather.

But I must say, you need to work on the precision of your reported running time. 6:03:?? I need to know seconds, at least, preferably down to the millisecond or beyond. So tomorrow, we all expect the running time to be reported as: 06:03:xx.yyyyyy

From JD on Tue, Jul 21, 2009 at 14:48:46 from 64.65.159.206

Thanks Carolyn, eights are great. Glad you're back!

Nevels - Your request has been submitted for approval by the GST (Garmin Standard Time) committee. Please allow 2.787 to 10.399 weeks for answer. Be advised that in the interim, reasonable efforts will be made to include a reporting of the actual second all and any said runs begin. We appreciate your input and apologize for any inconvenience our thoughtlessness concerning this matter may have caused.

From Nevels on Tue, Jul 21, 2009 at 15:37:12 from 131.204.15.93

Acknowledgment of the request is hereby acknowledged, and the appreciation is duly appreciated. However, in exactly 10.3991 weeks, the interim efforts, heretofore agreed upon, shall be rendered null and void, whereupon a new, revised plan of action will be anticipated. Should any questions concerning the aforementioned agreement arise, please feel free to contact Jenny at the Sometimes Licensing and Otherwise Waiting (S.L.O.W.) Bureau at 867-5309

Sounds nice; you've always got another trail! I hope you felt great and have got your groove back.

Nevels - Your acknowledgment is duly acknowledged. Thank you.

Lysa - felt really good. Nothing like a couple of solid nights of sleep in a row.

Auntieem - Thanks, I do have some good running options close to home. I'm patiently awaiting the return of my groove. I can hear it though.

Sorry you missed the registration. I thought I read somewhere that there was going to be a couple of short, in person registration periods, but I don't know. I'm not running it.
