This was my shake-out run. My legs didn't hurt after yesterday and they didn't feel tired when I woke up. Plus, there is a trail out the back side of the condos we stayed at that is really cool so I wanted to hit it before I had to drive back to the cold. It was slow, as it should be after my 9 miles at a fast pace from the day before, and it was every bit as much fun as I thought it would be. The trail actually starts as a crappy dirt road, but after about 1.5 miles it turns into a single track trail and winds though some pretty big boulders along the ridge of a bluff. If you find yourself in St. George this is a good one to hit. AP: 11:40; Vert: 703' |
