Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 3 hour marathon.

Personal:

Married.  Stay at home mom.  My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons.  And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:

In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25

Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.         Mosiah 24:15

And Ezra teaches that discipline and patience are born of disappointment.

Mt. Loafer with Ali at at a slow/easy pace.  Ran about a third of a mile past the gate and turned around because of ice and (questionable) animal tracks.

Left knee is bothering me.  Perhaps a combination of inconsistency in my miles, dead (three-times-over) shoes and a hard push up Loafer the week before.  Struggling with winter-blues and burn-out.  Perhaps a bit premature for speed/hard up-hill training, though.  Needing something different.
