Running Accomplishments:

'Just started! -Again!

Short-Term Running Goals:

Increase my energy levels so that I can keep up with my demanding jobs (Mother of Five, Wife of Father of Five, Chef, Housekeeper, Uncertified Phone Counselor, to name a few:). Strengthen my heart and improve my circulation. Grow some muscles! (It's about time!) Run four miles at once... sometime in the next 2 yrs, anyway. :)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to still have the strength and energy to do things when I'm old. I'd also like to stay in one peice until then!

Personal:

I have been married almost 9 years to Practically-Perfect Jeremy. We have five dear children 7yo and under. I rollerbladed as a teenager. For 18 mo, I walked a few times a week until about a year ago. I tried running w/ wonderful running partner last year, but that tapered off. We had a hard time matching schedules and I wasn't committed enough to do it alone. After an inspiring meeting with Sasha and Sarah, I am recommitted to regular exercise. I may run, or I may fast-walk. The point is to get MOVING, again. Please bear with my pitiful mileage. Supermommy runs all day, and doing that properly is my #1 priority.

Lybi and I ran around her neighborhood in the evening. It was very warm, but there were some pretty clouds and a big moon out (and a couple yards of sprinklers:). When I had to stop and walk, she kept running! -I just took long walking steps, and we stayed together! It actually worked out rather nicely, I think. I had to really push myself to finish. (Lybi helped. hehe) It was nice to run long enough to talk about both our days.

Ya, well, I think you should explain that you are a super fast walker. I can't keep up with you on these stumpy little legs when we walk.

Hey, what's the matter with stumpy legs??? I got 'em too! ;o)

Holly, you're probably right on with me in exercising, goals, and the "practically perfect husband." It seems everywhere I go people tell me "You're husband is so great." It would be annoying if it wasn't such a blessing to me!! ha! Keep running and don't feel bad about the "pitiful mileage and accomplishments." It makes bloggers like me feel more comfortable on this site!!! Keep at it, girl!

Laura! I really enjoyed your comment! If we are we are right on in our exercising, I am totally blown away at your goal to do a 5k next month! I know I can't run that far at once, yet. I am working on it, though. Lybi's a great coach/running partner. hehe

As far as my husband goes, he's my best kept secret! No one knows how wonderful he is, because he's pretty quiet around people he doesn't really know. He plays with our children, helps (with some things) without being asked, and is oh, so patient w/ my imperfect-ness. He is famous in his parent's family (13 children) for his mesmerizing words of wisdom. hehe

'So glad my pitiful mileage makes SOMEONE feel better! lol Well, it does make ME feel better, once I just get out there, but I am so ready for this darn heat to be over. It will be soon.

YOU are amazing to be getting out there and running/walking, being so recently pregnant, and having 2 babies and another child to care for. 'Inspiring!
