Running Accomplishments:

'Just started! -Again!

Short-Term Running Goals:

Increase my energy levels so that I can keep up with my demanding jobs (Mother of Five, Wife of Father of Five, Chef, Housekeeper, Uncertified Phone Counselor, to name a few:). Strengthen my heart and improve my circulation. Grow some muscles! (It's about time!) Run four miles at once... sometime in the next 2 yrs, anyway. :)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to still have the strength and energy to do things when I'm old. I'd also like to stay in one peice until then!

Personal:

I have been married almost 9 years to Practically-Perfect Jeremy. We have five dear children 7yo and under. I rollerbladed as a teenager. For 18 mo, I walked a few times a week until about a year ago. I tried running w/ wonderful running partner last year, but that tapered off. We had a hard time matching schedules and I wasn't committed enough to do it alone. After an inspiring meeting with Sasha and Sarah, I am recommitted to regular exercise. I may run, or I may fast-walk. The point is to get MOVING, again. Please bear with my pitiful mileage. Supermommy runs all day, and doing that properly is my #1 priority.

I ran w/ Paige & Lybi around Lybi's neighborhood. There was a nice breeze. As I was musing inwardly about how lucky we were to have the wind, Lybi mentioned how much nicer early mornings are. VERY tempting to think of TWENTY DEGREES cooler runnings... Since having two babies in a row and kicking the second one out into her own room (nicely) finally, I am AT LAST getting some much-needed sleep at night, and feeling semi-conscious at 5:30am. When I was in college, I used to walk in the early mornings and watch the sun rise w/ my best friend (after I knocked on her window to wake her up). It was a fun way to start the day. I could get used to it, again, possibly... Let's see, as far as the running tonight went, the company was fun, but I felt a little sluggish. I think that is mostly because I didn't pay attention to how much I was eating at a plentiful dinner. (Oops) Or it could have had something to do w/ staying up an hour and a half too late last night...>> (

[maybe it was the symbols I used... trying again:]

eyes looking sideways) I have been doing really well w/ going to bed on time, lately, in general, though. I sure love that familysearchindexing.org. It's addictive (in a good way). It's fun to see those details about other families lives a hundred years ago, and dictate (?) the pretty handwriting, and actually FINISH something. I thought it might keep me up too late, but actually it helps me unwind and then I feel I can sleep, even w/out TV.

Oh, good, that time pasting the rest of my Tuesday entry worked! It must have been the combination of symbols that chopped it off. -And that word I wrote should be "families'."

If you go back to your calendar you can always edit your entries. Yes yes yes! You must try going running way early. MUCH MUCH BETTER!

A comment on your "personal", someday as you keep at this running thing, your going to have one of those days where "running isn't exercise - it is PLAY!" and it will all be worth it! Keep up the good work.

I think you could be right, Dave... Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Lybi, I'm so glad you reminded me about the editing. I don't know why I don't think of that after I leave the calendar view. >> (
