Running Accomplishments:

'Just started! -Again!

Short-Term Running Goals:

Increase my energy levels so that I can keep up with my demanding jobs (Mother of Five, Wife of Father of Five, Chef, Housekeeper, Uncertified Phone Counselor, to name a few:). Strengthen my heart and improve my circulation. Grow some muscles! (It's about time!) Run four miles at once... sometime in the next 2 yrs, anyway. :)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to still have the strength and energy to do things when I'm old. I'd also like to stay in one peice until then!

Personal:

I have been married almost 9 years to Practically-Perfect Jeremy. We have five dear children 7yo and under. I rollerbladed as a teenager. For 18 mo, I walked a few times a week until about a year ago. I tried running w/ wonderful running partner last year, but that tapered off. We had a hard time matching schedules and I wasn't committed enough to do it alone. After an inspiring meeting with Sasha and Sarah, I am recommitted to regular exercise. I may run, or I may fast-walk. The point is to get MOVING, again. Please bear with my pitiful mileage. Supermommy runs all day, and doing that properly is my #1 priority.

I ran w/ Lybi & Paige for 2 full miles. They were full for me. I was pooped from my huge laundry undertaking earlier that evening (3 hrs, 21 loads, washed, dried, and folded by 1 crazy, procrastinating superMommy in a laundramat8).

I promised Lybi & Paige that our runs would be cooler in 10 days in time for my birthday, as it always is nice at night here by then. ...I'm a little nervous this time, though, that it will cool down in time. We went off the beaten path, around a nearby neighborhood, and kept an eye out for who might belong to the bike by the sidewalk. :O Paige noticed the bike, and Lybi plotted a well-lit path. It was fun, even though I did feel like a big whiner because I talked about how wiped out I was.

Good job getting out, I sometimes run at night, I actually feel better if I can get my dinner soon enough, I have to wait a long time before I can run. But I have to admit that the cool morning runs are definately nicer!

So you do indexing too! I have been a real slacker lately, but for a while I was completely obsessed with it! I too love finding out about the families, but I really get to wondering about them too, I want more info than I get and sometimes that drives me crazy! One time I did two whole batches of people that were in some kind of institution. They called it a jail or prision ( something like that, I can't remeber?) but it had to be a mental institution becasue the first two people were listed as physicians and they were the caretakers of this place. Then it was interesting that there were people that were in their 90's and then some that were in their late teens like 19. I have loved it! I'm gonna try and do a few batched this weekend! Thanks!

As soon as I can be conscious at 5:30am, I am so hitting them w/ my running shoes!

I love to hear about your indexing! That institution listing sounds very interesting! I just indexed my youngest married woman ever - 14! Her name was Juanita and she lived in New Mexico. In 6 years of marriage, she had one child and lost them. :( "Doing a few batches this weekend" - cool! I'll try to do 3 by Monday! Tomorrow is my birthday!

I was a little worried there for a minute...Paige and I are no match for a running-shoe ninja. :)

Lybi, you're hilarious, as usual! :D

Michelle, I finished three familysearchindexing batches! I came across some interesting things I wrote down to share:

One census included 16 ppl in a hotel. It was interesting to see all the different places they came from.

There was another group of 16, this one all men, all from Japan, all railroad workers! Many of them were married, but all immigrated the year of the census (1900). There were no wives in the place.

I did my first batch from Montana this morning, and there were 48 men all staying in one place -- a saw mill. I think two were brothers. Only a few of them were married. They were from all over the world, one even from Bohemia.

Fun! AND I got my van cleaned out this beautiful fall morning.
