| AM- Slept outside with Emma, and got up and ran when the sun came up at around 6. Just 3.1 easy miles on my canyon road loop, then did abs when I got home.
PM- Headed out at 5, so it was hot but there some clouds that made it bearable. Did Alpine loop, and I did it pretty fast. I was planning on taking it super easy, but I ended up averaging 6:28 pace. It felt pretty easy tho so that's a good sign. Got back to the house at 50 minutes, so I did 10 minutes barefoot at the orchard, with 4x100 strides. Felt really good today.

| First real workout today, 5x1000. I slept outside and woke up and headed to the track at about 5:45. I wasn't supposed to be doing these too fast, and I hit the times pretty perfect for the first four. Felt smooth and controlled the whole time, which makes for an enjoyable workout. Times were 3:15, 3:14, 3:12, 3:10, 3:00. Last one was a bit quick, but it didn't feel like I was straining too hard so i figured I was ok. Overall very pleased with how it turned out.

| summited pfeifferhorn this morning with Will. We ran all the parts that were runnable so it was a really good workout. Super pretty as always, it's probably my favorite summit to do in the wasatch. Red and white pine lakes were breathtaking as usual, and on the final ridge I got within ten feet of a mountain goat haha.

| Alpine loop for the third time this week, it just goes by faster than other runs for some reason. Got back and ran to the hill by my house and did 4x100 hill strides. Felt good today.

| Went to practice today, but when I got there they had already left because apparently they run at 6:30 now. Thanks for telling me everyone. Anyways it actually turned out for the best because Marc is home from his mission and he came at 7. He did the first 40 minutes with me, and he is actually in pretty good shape. He was able to run a good amount while he was out, so we averaged 7:05 pace and he didn't seem to be sttruggling too bad, and there were some pretty good hills thrown in there because we did 5 mile loop then over to his house. I dropped Marc off then went and started up Hogs and turned down to the reservoir thing, and ran back with Timberline loop added on. Averaged 6:30ish pace for the last half which was even more hilly so I was happy with it. Afterwards did 6x100 strides with a 100 jog inbetween each. I'm runnning the Deseret News 10k on Monday, and I'm looking for a time in the mid 31:00 range.
