| Ran up on Bonneville Shoreline today. I wasn't feeling good so I hopped down onto the canal and went to the bathroom, then picked up the pace and ran sub 6:00 pace for the four miles back to the school from there. As I was passing Deerfield a third grader told me to go lift some weights, and I couldn't come up with a witty response so I just picked up the pace and tried not to let it crush my self esteem too much. When I got back we did strength training, then afterwards we did a little extra and ice bathed. | Comments(2) |

| 4x600m hill repeats. Ryan wanted us to do them a little bit slower, and he cut our recovery substantially. Times were 2:02, 2:03, 2:02, and 1:57. Felt controlled and fun. For mutual tonight we are playing indoor soccer and I'm pretty excited.

| Today at the beginning of track class Schoon asked us if we wanted to run with the soccer team who was running five miles, and we said sure. We did two laps of this big course around the school and pond, and finished in about 31 minutes. Afterwards we ran to Art Dye and back, then did 6x100m strides on the football field. For strength training today we did four sets instead of three and it was pretty brutal, but luckily we had chocolate milk after so it was all good. Apparently we got a grant that will supply us with chocolate milk after every practice!

| 3x5 minutes at a little but slower than 5k pace. We did it down in Af, and it was a pretty good time. It felt controlled the whole time and we were going pretty fast on the last one especially. On the warmup Josh tripped on some barbed wire and tore a huge hole in his new shoes that he's only worn once.

| Good modest run today. Afterwards we had strength training and ice bathed. I'm taking the ACT tomorrow so I will have to do a long run by myself. :( |

| Took the Act this morning, then had a church ball game (we won), so I didn't end up running til later in the afternoon. I decided to do Hogs, and it was pretty fun but I was really tired. |
