9 miles with 4 at 1/2 mary pace.  I should have run the faster miles under 6:45 pace but it felt so blasted hot.  I think this was my first run of the year in anything above 70ish degrees.  During my last run it was in the mid 30s.  Today it was about 50 degrees hotter, 85.

3 miles ez.

4- 6:47, 174bpm.

5- 6:59, 180bpm.  Overheated.  In an act of desperation I stopped and dunked my hat and shirt in the oh so foul Jordan River.  Yuck!  No floating bodies but a large floating trash jam.

6- 6:52, 174bpm.

7-7:03, 180bpm.

2 miles ez.

I usually don't mind the heat so much but I really need to aclimate to it.  Oh well I guess this leaves a lot of room for improvement!

Welcome back from your vacation. Great job on your run. Hope you had a great time and looks like your back to your speedy self.

85 degrees, did you move to Texas? Now that you Utahns are moving outside, I'm heading inside for the treadmill a little more than I'd like. Welcome back!

85 degrees. How'd you keep your teeth from chattering? Brrrr....

Marc- Moving outside? We weren't inside.

Monte- I'll be saying the same thing in a few weeks.

I hear ya, the Jordan River is pretty nasty!

So how was Yellowstone? See any Bear? Photos please!

The heat got me today too I think it is because it came on so fast we have not had time to acclimate. Hopefully it will stay in the 80 for a while and not jump right into the 90-100.

Welcome home. I'm sure you had a blast. I was up there last year with my family. It is beautiful country. Did you get any running in while up there?

Perhaps something toxic in the water will actually give you super powers.

Yellowstone was great. We saw 4 bears, including one cub.

Paul, If I drank any of that water it would almost certainly give me a super power... The power to take out any and all runners unfortunate enough to be behind me.
