JRP. 12 miles w/ 7 miles at 15k to 1/2 Mary effort.

94 "flippin" degrees.  20 "frigin" mph wind.  At least some dumb arse left the sprinklers on at the park!

After warming up, sheesh like I needed to warm up, for 2.5 miles, I soaked myself in some cool sprinklers then picked up the pace-

Downwind.

1-6:59 163bpm.

2-6:58 172bpm.

3-6:59 177bpm.

stopped and cooled off w/ water.

Upwind.

4-7:00 170bpm.

5-7:08 178bpm.

6-7:07 178bpm.

stopped and cooled off in the sprinklers.

Downwind.

7-6:40 175bpm.

AVE - 6:58  173bpm.

Goal pace should have been 6:35 to 6:43 without stopping.  Was 15 seconds off with as hot and windy as it was good enough?

WOW!!! that heat and wind would've killed me! GREAT JOB pushing it. EXCELLENT effort. No time to run in the evening or early morning???

Even with the threat of heat, I can't seem to drag myself out of bed at the required 4ish am. I have enough trouble getting up at 6ish am. And, I could not be out the door in the evening until after the kids are in bed, at 8:30 or 9:00 pm, which is when I normally get ready for bed. I guess I'd rather run in the heat than loose sleep.

With the wind and that heat out there, I say you did pretty darn good. Nice run.

Great effort Fly. With that heat, you really had a fast run. Looks like you are going to make a great push for that sub 3 at SGM.

That is a great run considering the conditions. By far, my least favorite workout in Pfitz's plan. Good job getting it done.
