About 5 miles on JRP.  The fast guy was with us today. We started at a good clip and kept picking it up.  7:46 ave for the run but that included stops at road crossings and a longer stop for someone to cough up a bug.  A very enjoyable run.

Biopsy results:  I have small basal cell carcinoma on my shoulder.  I will go back in next week to have more cut and burn done on my shoulder to make sure all the nasty cells are removed.  This is the most common type of cancer and the most common type of skin cancer.  It rarely spreads to other areas of the body and is easily cured, I'm reading 90-99% cure rates.

The mole on my head has some long name that translates to not cancer but not normal cells.  To be on the safe side the doc is cutting out more of my scalp as well.

So not the end of the world but I'm not thrilled about surgery, even as minor as this.  I thought about having a pitty party for myself but I better save it for something worse.  Oh well, onward into the fog.

Best of luck on all of that Mark. It's good that you're getting it taken care of.

That just scares me about all my blotches and lumps and bumps and moles, never been to dermatologist!!!

Hate to hear the C word. Glad it's curable! Hope all goes well for ya!

Thanks Cal.

Smooth, You have a big advantage over me and that is you're Asian and I'm Caucasian. This type of skin cancer is rare in Asians. But that doesn't mean you're immune.

Education is a cure for what scares you. I saw Laurie Ellis, D.C.N.P., 801-266-8841, 3920 South 1100 East, Suite 310, Salt Lake City, UT 84124

Thanks Mark! I'm copying down Laurie's contact info. You're so right about no one is immune when it comes to cancer.

Sorry to hear about this. Sounds like you caught it early. Good luck with everything.

Do you plan on running the Wheeler farm race again this year?? That was a fun race and great raffle at the end. Will be next weekend and only 20 bucks.:)
