This was my first half marathon. I think I did pretty well. I beat most of the runners in the half marathon. I did not get the time I wanted which was 1:30. It was a lot of fun doing the race. This is the is the longest race or run I have ever done. In mile 9,10,11,12,13 I was getting really tired. My average mile was 7:28, I was trying to get a average of 7:00 minute mile but I did not. I haven't been training much except for doing other sports. I think I still need do more training so I can get my goal 1:30. My legs still are tired and sore. I ran with my new running shoes in the half marathon. They are pretty good running shoes. I did 11 minutes better than last years 1st place runner in my age group. I think they should give out better awards, because I only got a mdal that said Salt Lake Half Marathon, and said 2008 on the ribbon part. They also should take more time to announce the awards, they were rushing through because not a lot the people in the half marathon were there. I hope they will do the awards better next year. I want to try another half marathon soon. I love running.

Nice job! I saw you were featured in the paper today (SL Trib) and they had some very encouraging things to say. Keep up the good work.

Falcon, very very very impressive, I seen you come accross the finish line. You have major talent, great future of running ahead of your. 500 commando points for the age division win in the half marathon and being 150 out of 4,000. Awesome effort. By the way, your dad did great, but no commando points for him this race.

Falcon, I think you will get a jacket for first place, takes a couple of weeks, check with the race organizer.

Wow. I am humbled by your abilities. Now I feel a whole lot less confident about my 1:38 1/2 marathon in January. You're fast man. Good job. Wish I had your abilities. Keep it up.

Congratulations on a good run. No hurry to run half marathons. Work on your speed right now, most of which will come from growing properly.

For your training you should probably jog about 4 miles a day 6 days a week throughout the year until you turn 12. This will help you develop decent endurance while allowing your body to grow.

Thank you Sasha.

My Dad asks since I do alot of other sports each week how much should I change miles per day and number of days a week. How much less do I run for each hour of other sports I do? I do some like basketball and football which have lots of running and also baseball which doesnt have much running. Thanks
