Oh no Eric! That is my worst fear--something blowing in the middle of a race. Oh geez I am so sorry to hear about it! I hope it cures itself in time for the marathon. Ice ice ice and maybe some motrin? Are you able to walk without limping?

From Eric Day on Mon, Nov 23, 2009 at 09:14:20 from 189.169.222.27

April, I can walk, but with a little limp. It hurts when I 'push' with the ball of the foot (like if I was going to start a sprint). Pain is going down a little today. Will keep the ice sessions. Arrrrggghhh !!

Sorry dude! That stinks! I hope you get better soon.

DANG IT!!! I am so sorry, injuries STINK! Have you been to the doctor? Is it the same feeling as last time? DANG IT!

That's awful Eric, I hope you get it sorted, keep up the ice and hopefully it will be ok

From Bonnie on Tue, Nov 24, 2009 at 18:41:31 from 128.196.228.134

Oh Eric, I am so sorry to hear this. Please keep us informed.

Thanks guys ! Feels good to have people care for one.

My calf muscle is doing better, I've kept icing and today I can walk almost normal, it hurt, not too bad, going down the stairs. A friend of mine lent me a 'gadget" (don't know what to call it). It applied a gentle electrical current to the affected area. It is supposed to help recover faster. Will try tonight.

Oh Eric!!! I am so so so sorry!!! Is the little gadget an interferential current machine?

Seriously ... I am so sorry. Glad to hear that you are walking better today though.

From Burt on Tue, Nov 24, 2009 at 19:47:07 from 12.231.112.98

No Teena. It's a dinglehopper.

Close Burt, I call it the whatchamacallit ...

Sounds like a reversible Sedgwick to me

So Eric how is your calf?

From Eric Day on Thu, Nov 26, 2009 at 12:29:02 from 189.192.120.192

Calf doing much, much better. Tomorrow I will do a simple "jog" to see if it can handle running ...
