Long term...mmm...hard one, just continue running and having the luck a running races to keep on the edge, every so often.

Keep taking it easy and be patient. Your body will adjust. You may have to stay at this mileage for a while until you are sure your body is ready to increase again. Keep up the good work!

April, thanks, the best part is that I feel my body is adapting, but very slowly. Today was better, I'm just surprised that it didn't like this distance...anyways, we shall keep trying. In the afternoon is a good moment to measure the degree of soreness, but today doing real good.

Tomorrow I was thinking of doing a long run with hills (very long hills). Now I'm not sure, what should I do? It was going to be 15 to 16 kms ...

I would scrap the long run and just do your regular 13k, especially with ankle trouble--hills and a long run might not be a good idea. Maybe next week if you are adjusted a little more?

Wow nice job on the mileage! I had a bit of knee pain when I increased my mileage last year - your body will adjust. Do the ankles hurt as if you were injured, or as if you worked them hard? Sometimes running in uneven terrain, even for a few steps, can make my ankles hurt - then they're fine... Maybe head out for your long run but make yourself come back if you're hurting? Have a nice weekend!

I would not call it hurt, but sore. Like if I worked them hard, like if you had to stand a very long time on them.

But maybe the heel pads could help... again-> ;)
