Good luck with the moving! I will be looking forward to reading your race report--stay strong and have a good race!

From Burt on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 12:56:26

Glad I'm good for something. :)

From Eric Day on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 13:39:56

Thanks April, I hope I don't let you down! =)

Something is better than nothing Burt! ;)

From seeaprilrun on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 14:04:07

Oh you are not letting me down just finish that race!--don't get injured! :)

From Kelli on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 15:37:56

You have gotten NEW TOYS for running. FUN! Now I will be all the more confused by your KM's. Are you sure you do not want to just tell us miles so I will get it???

GOOD LUCK on Sunday. Kick some butt.

From Eric Day on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 17:54:08

Yeah!!! I love new toys. I love good gadgets, and the Garmin seems to be one.

And my shoes are soooo great, why can't I find these in Mexico????

Thanks, I hope to kick some, but we'll see.

Just remember Kelli: 1 mile = 1.609 kms... ;)

April, I remember my promise to you since you had to miss your HM! I don't forget! I'm a gentleman of the old ways: my word is my honor! I owe you five minutes in finish time...

From seeaprilrun on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 17:57:58

I read somewhere that you should break a half marathon into two parts--a 10 mile and then a 5k. So run 10 miles and then bring it home for the last 5K! You will do great!

From Kelli on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 18:47:06

That is far too much math for me. Ask Burt, I can not add. I only go to 6th grade math, and then I am sTuPiD!! I am okay with it, though.

Have fun playing with your Garmin (my dang mode button broke AGAIN, dang toys!) And break those shoes in well.

From Burt on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 19:03:07

It's quite simple, Kelli. 1 mile = 1.609 kms. 1 km = 0.621 miles.

1 cubic foot = 7.48 gal = 0.0283 cubic meters

1 kilogram = 2.2 pounds

Commit that to memory and the rest is Mickey Mouse.

From Eric Day on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 19:14:50

Well, Burt's explanation is better....

From Kelli on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 20:11:46

My brain hurts just looking at it! But, alas, I am in luck becasue Sasha makes you enter your miles here!!!

I will memorize this day in case I ever need to refer back to it (or I will just make you do the math for me!)

Good luck on Sunday!
