| Nine miles with Jenny back and forth on the JRT. My longest run so far. We ran it in 1:07:20. My body really seems to lock in at 7:30 pace. I felt a little tired from Saturday's run, and could definitely feel the last mile. But, I'm almost to a double digit run, so that's exciting! It helps to have someone to talk to on the run. | Add Comment |

I ran a tempo workout today. I warmed up for 15 minutes, and then ran 10 minutes at 6:40 pace, with 3 minutes recovery. Then, I ran 2 x 5 minutes, at 6:30 and 6:20 pace with 2 minutes recovery in between. To finish, I ran 5 x 1 minute on/off. I cooled down until I hit 8.5 miles. Total time: 60:04.
PM: Teren came home early from work! (YAAYY!!!) so I went to the club and took a Zumba class. I felt extra clumsy tonight. | Comments(2) |

| I woke up to a rain/snowstorm, so decided to hit the treadmill. I ran an hour progressive run, starting at 8 minute miles, and increasing the pace .1 every half mile. I finished at 6:30 pace. Last week was so nice. I'm not happy to see the return of winter. Hopefully, it is short-lived. | Add Comment |

I ran my Costco loop today. I ran with no watch, and tried to take it easy. I had originally planned a fartlek workout today, but yesterday's progression run left me sore this morning. A workout was probably not needed.
It snowed for about two blocks and then stopped.

I met Chelsea on the river trail for a cold, snowy run. Actually, it wasn't too cold, but the trail was really icy. So, it wasn't the fastest run in the world. The sun came out after the turn-around point, and melted the ice. The footing was much better the second half of the run. We still averaged under 8 minute miles, which isn't bad for a snowy run. I'm glad I went and didn't wuss out and end up on the treadmill.
