It was raining pretty hard this morning, so I changed my track workout into a treadmill workout. I had planned on 5-6 x 1000 with 400 m recovery. I improvised by running 8 x 3 minutes on/ 2 minutes off. I warmed up 15 minutes, and then started at 10.0 mph. I increased . 1 on every repeat, and ran the easy parts at 8.0 mph. My goal was to keep my heart rate elevated. The workout felt pretty good through 6 repeats. The last two were pretty tough. I cooled down until I hit 9.5 miles. |
