Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to run an Olympic Trials Qualifier in the marathon.

I would also like to run on one more international team before I pack it in!

 Stay healthy!  (My biggest challenge!)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run my whole life, and then live vicariously through my children. (just kidding) , but I do want to pass on a healthy lifestyle to them.

Help coach East High to a state championship. (hope it doesn't take a lifetime!)

Personal:

I've been running since I was nine.  I'm married to a fellow runner who inspires and supports me.  We have two children:  Cole (4) and Lily (18 mos.)  I help Bill Cobler coach cross country at East High School.

I only had time to take the Lift/Coreworks class this morning.  Myles was awake and bright eyed at 5 a.m.  It's hard to be too frustrated when he gives you his first smiles.  I figured the strength work is more important than mileage at this point. I just put in 4 days of running in a row, so for injury avoidance, not running is a good thing.

Teren is home from work tomorrow, so I can get in a nice long running/cross training session.  That will be so fun when I'm nice and sore from lifting today.

How old is your baby? You are so funny. "Strength work", "injury avoidance". After my third I did start running quickly, but not in a focused way like you are. At least this baby came so you have plenty of time to ramp up for 2016. Is that the long term goal?

Myles is 4 weeks old tomorrow. I don't have any concrete plans right now, except to lose the baby weight and tone up. I'm not sure if I want to try for 2016 trials or not. We'll see how my fitness comes back and if I can manage consistent, healthy, training.
