Personal:

I've been running since I was nine.  I'm married to a fellow runner who inspires and supports me.  We have two children:  Cole (4) and Lily (18 mos.)  I help Bill Cobler coach cross country at East High School.

I haven't been keeping up on my blog very well lately.  So, here I go again.

I ran up to Valley Park and ran a lap around it.  Then, I ran up 2700 W to 6200 S, I ran down to the canal road, and back toward 5400 W.  I've only run this loop once, so it was a nice change.

Running is a great time for sorting my thoughts out.  We are contemplating moving, and I spent the run considering our options.  No definite decisions were made, but running seems to clear my head.

I thought I should probably pick a race to aim for.  I will start out with the Taylorsville Dayzz 5k at the end of June, and follow that up with Murray Days 5k and Draper Days 5k.  Then, I will run Des News  10k or half.  That should give me something to shoot for and put an end to the random training.  I don't expect stellar results this summer, but it will keep me focused, and then I can hit it hard next spring and summer.

Moving can be a great adventure. I might move if I could find a place I like better. Plus I'm a slave to my pension at this point.

Taylorsville has to be the coolest town in Utah. Who else would throw a double Z at the end of day(s)? Can you imagine how much more popular races like Draper DaiZZe would be if they showed a little creativity with their spelling?

Yes, Jake, The double z is pretty awesome. We contemplated (jokingly) spelling Myles name Mylz to make it that much cooler.

Rob, we are outgrowing our tiny 3 bedroom house, so we're looking around.

Allie, let me know if you want to hook up for a run. You may be the only person who gets up as early as I do.
