Running Accomplishments:

I'm a 40+ "used to be"...

7 years ago had BAD case of frostbite and nearly lost my feet.  Stopped running (obviously) & gained LOTS of weight.  Started jogging again when local community club needed a coach and found out that exercise helped to increase circulation in my affected areas as well as decreased overall weight which helped to take pressure off my feet.  Still deal with neuropathy and Reynauds--but do not take ANY pain meds to manage the pain.  Gotta' love running!!!

SO, any past accomplishments do not matter....only that I can get ut the door almost every day and run another run.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Currently building base to lead up to traditional Marathon

Goals:

Have not yet decided on race schedule for this year, but am shifting focus from ultras to trying to nail down some shorter speedy races and a tradtional marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for as long as I can & share the knowledge that God has graced me with by continuing to coach as well.

Personal:

First day of Track practice with the kiddies!  YAY!

Had a nice showing our first day--helped that it was 60 degrees out.  Did Bowl run clockwise (4 miles) and hopped on trail as often as possible.  Ran with the girls to show them some of the trails and was pleasantly surprised to see most of the guys still together at around 6 miles--and going 6:40's....Very happy coach today!!

Went to the track to greet the early returners (4 mile group) and did Lunge Matrix and Myrtle with them before heading off to do more mileage.  Stayed on the track so I could shake everyone's hands before they left.  Was going to do super easy 4 miles, but then some of the baseball team took to the track and I could not resist the opportunity...so did 2 miles at 7:00 just to see how many of the lil devils I could lap.  AHHH!  Good times!

How many lil devils did you lap? :)

My daughter just started her first day on the Jr. high track team. I'm excited to see how she does.

She had her first run yesterday, 8 times around the track and she said her coach made her sprint on certain sections of the track. she said it was a lot more dificult than when she runs with me.

6:19? :)
