Personal:

I am married and have two wonderful kids, 14 and 10.  I've been running since 1982.  I never get "basic" injuries.  I always get the real nasty career threatening kind, like stress fracture of the sacrum, ganglion cyst clamping  down on my peroneal nerve.

Ran a really solid 6.5 miles from home through Collet Park in 42:59.  Had 22:59 half way, so really picked it up on the way back.  The snow started to fall as I was finishing up.  Had a little bit of Achilles pain about 20 minutes in but subsided.  Last mile in 6:16.

Did not run.  We got 10" of snow overnight.  Completely felt like crap.  Managed just 22 minutes on the Octane this evening.  Tired from work and getting called in the middle of the night.

Tonight ran a really tough 6.5 miles starting at Twigg's.  Plan was to run the Heritage trail, but there was still too much snow on it.  I am totally sore and spent from shoveling our driveway yesterday and running on the snow really worked my stability muscles, so once I got to Hunt Road, I bailed on the trail and ran on the roads.  Really struggled, disgusted, etc.  ran about 7:40 pace the whole way with the 5th mile down in 6:50.  Just a little bit of Achilles tightness running on the snow.

Today I ended up running from home as I couldn't get out of work until about 6:30.  So much for running in daylight in town.  Only had to deal with about a quarter mile worth of snow though.  Temp very cold though, temperature actually plunged to -3F!  Ran 3.5 miles from home down to Ft. Harrison and back in a pretty quick 22:07.  Had 11:00 half way and ran last mile in 5:59.  Far cry from last night's run.  Had no pain at all in Achilles although had a little bit of tightness during the day.

Ran a pretty decent 6 miles, same as the other night in a pretty quick 40:14.  Hit 6:40 pace the whole way.  It really warmed up, sunny 33 but very windy.  Still managed a 6:41 mile into a 20 mph head wind  toward the end.  Achilles was just a little tight in the middle.
