Personal:

I am married and have two wonderful kids, 14 and 10.  I've been running since 1982.  I never get "basic" injuries.  I always get the real nasty career threatening kind, like stress fracture of the sacrum, ganglion cyst clamping  down on my peroneal nerve.

This evening, actually went out for a test run.  Had pain most of the day from the last two days on the Octane, but had absolutely no pain during the run.  Legs were pretty rusty after 8 days of no running.  Did 1.5 miles in 10:47.  Not too bad.  Didn't feel all that great.  May try to run a couple of miles again tomorrow.  No Octane during lunch today.

Good to hear that you were able to run without any pain. Hope you can continue to see improvement and be able to get back to your normal running soon.

Just thought I would check in and see how you are doing. Any improvement on the achilles?

It is actually getting better, but slowly. I've run a couple of times, made it up to 6.5 miles last night but kinda aggravated it this morning shoveling snow. But, thanks. Hope your training is going well.
