Personal:

I am married and have two wonderful kids, 14 and 10.  I've been running since 1982.  I never get "basic" injuries.  I always get the real nasty career threatening kind, like stress fracture of the sacrum, ganglion cyst clamping  down on my peroneal nerve.

Today ran the 181st Air Guard Enlisted Dining Out 10K in 38:41 for first place overall.  Pretty tough race.  Legs weren't completely there and had strong 20 mph SSW wind.  Windy like last weekend, but today, it was a pretty warm 71 degrees.  Tailed a duo that went out too fast and reeled them in by  1.5 miles.  The guy that was with me fell off the pace just after two miles and I was on my own the rest of the way.  Splits not too bad (6:08,6:08,6:05,6:54!,6:23,6:10,0:50). Garmin showed .14 for the last part, so course could have possibly been short.  Did about 2.5 mile warmup, then 3.75 mile cooldown.  Not to bad of a race considering I've bumped up the miles and put in two hours on the Octane this week.
