Nice improvements again! Give the moon my best- I'll be back in the dark again soon enough, but not a day before it's absolutely necessary.

What is your goal pace you're working toward & do you do sprints/fartleks to try & increase speed? I hate speedwork as much as I hate hills. Uphills, that is.

Greetings QP. In the spring my goal was to average 8:00 by the end of August. I don't think I'll make it by then. I hit that Dec '11 but my ankles were injured shortly after that. It took me several months to recover, I ran the Utah Valley Marathon and just focused on distance and not speed, then I lost motivation, took the summer off and gained 30 pounds. I'm more than half way back but there's more to go. I did half mile repeats once a month for several months. It seemed that I had stalled so I took a few weeks off from the repeats and saw the times drop. I think the repeats did a lot but I didn't see it until I gave my body a rest from them. I plan to get back to them this week. I've been running 7 or 8 of them at the fastest pace I can maintain through each one.
