Rainy, muddy, cool, windy 50k race. The original planned course was not passable by vehicle or runner. So they moved the course to an out and back on maintained roads that were still muddy and rolling. 50 miler Michael Adams led most of the way going out. But I passed him a couple times on the way in with my last pass sticking too the finish. Glad he was running 50 miles because hammered his last 19 to finish under 7 hrs. Fellow city of Moore resident Bruce Layne came in few minutes in back of me to finish 2nd. The cool weather really made this run tolerable for western Oklahoma in September. 2 weeks to recover for USAF Marathon.
