60 degrees today at 1pm. Beautiful day. My last real work-out going into Boston. Did a quality tempo run yesterday. Today was 7 x 800 meters downhill repeats with recovery back up. Recovery time was generally about 4:30 of active running back up the hill and 30 seconds inactive recovery waiting for my partner's heart rate to return below 120. Repeats were done as follows: 2:47 (5:34s), 2:53 (5:46s), 2:58 (5:56s), 2:53 (5:46s), 2:53 (5:46s), 2:50 (5:40s), 2:43 (5:26s). The workout was flanked on both sides with 2.3 miles of warm-up/cool-down running. |
