Mid to upper 70s today. Humidity excessive. About 5 miles in it started to rain and built to about a 30 minute torrential downpour. Did 11.2 today. Actually lost .4 of the run with some Garmin difficulties, but nothing I couldn't piece together afterwards. The 10.8 that the Garmin did pick up was in 1:22:26 (7:38s). I stopped a few times, mostly when I switched off the road to following off road along side the creek bed when the rain was really hammering down to see how high the creek was. Splits as follows:
7:52, 7:14 (No body glide on, turned back to the house to get some), 7:34, 7:47, 7:46, 7:50, 7:44, 7:40, 7:53, 7:18, 5:40 (.8). This workout was significantly hilly, run back and forth over a grid of blocks that went up a hill, over the top, down the hill to the end of the block where I turned south 1 block and headed back across the same hill. Tough workout, but I love running in the pouring rain. |
