Another mid 70s very humid day. Even some slight rain today. 9 mile AB run with the pace pushing to Steady State on the uphills. 9.04 miles in 1:08:02 (7:31s). Splits as follows:

8:07, 7:39, 7:49, 7:49 (not sure this is right), 7:26, 7:15, 7:08, 7:33 (tried desperately hard to slow the pace down to recoveryish 8:00s[I have such a hard time with this]), 7:16

Saucony Ride Miles: 9.04

I was looking for how your Lewis and Clark 1/2 went, then saw you didn't do it. Still planning on a Nov 1/2?

I dunno Jon. I'm not getting the sleep I want right now for high intensity training. I'm pretty much sticking to almost entirely base building and as my wife is home for a while (and in the way a bit, lol) I'm not getting 6 days/week in. Right now my plan is to find a way back to 6 days/week (kid soccer games on saturday and weekend work is killing the weekend runs) and build towards reaching 75mpw by the end of the year, then back down to the mid 40s for January before going at it hard core for a May marathon in Traverse City, Michigan. At this point I'm not planning to do any races this fall, but if the inspiration strikes me, I may sign up the day before some of them. How's your training going? I'm so busy right now I don't even have time to keep my runs up to date. I have to enter them 3 and 4 days at at time when I get the chance.

Cheers

Well, good luck with it all. Sometimes running understandably takes a back seat to life.
