8 miles in 59:41, 7:28/mi, HR 148.

A nice easy run on pretty decent legs in sunny and warm (67F) weather at lunchtime.  Threw in 8 10-12 second surges up the steeper hills on the route (all outbound) and then enjoyed the downhill back.  A bit tired by the end but not too bad considering I've been in higher mileage weeks for a while.  Another couple of lighter days next followed by a race on Saturday.  Got some core work in today since I've been slacking on that lately.

Asics 2130 Blue - 84.26 miles.

Good miles, Dale! We're getting a little bit more summer than usual, eh? Is that a stick of TNT on your picture, or a flare you send up for help? Metaphor for running? Dang, I just crack myself up sometimes...

Thanks. This summer weather is great! Nice and cool mornings, not blazing hot during the daytime, just right. Guess this makes up for the particularly wet August. If this is the way we skip most of the 90+ days, I'm all for it! Which reminds me, I need to get my main run in a bit earlier than normal before the heat hits (supposed to be 79 today!).

Actually, that's the prize, a baton, from the Northwest Passage Relay race I ran in July. It's sitting in the middle top shelf in my office desk-hutch and looks much more impressive (and cheesy!) in person. All hail the almighty baton!!!
