Today most of workout was uphill training through the Spanish Fork river bottoms. It was the hottest day of the year so far, 75 degress, it felt great. My legs today felt like blocks of cement pretty wack today. my total time today was 1:07:43, with an average pace of 9:34.

My mile splits were as follows.

Mile 1. 9:05

        2. 9:28

        3. 9:49

        4. 9:45

        5. 9:42

        6. 9:56

        7. 9:15

I ran in my new K-13's I am still trying to decide if I like them, Does not seem to have the room in the toe box as the 11and 12's, and I think thay are a little stiffer than K-11 and 12's. I think they might even be a little on the heavy side.

Curtis,

Keep up the good training and as you continue to build the base the faster pace will come. The first priority is to stay healthy. I didn't run my first marathon until I was 50, and this year's Boston will be my 50th marathon, and 7th consecutive Boston.

It sure helps to have some dependable running friends who help to push you a little, yet who understand where you are in your running.

Good luck. Also, I grew up in Payson, so when I read about you running in Spanish Fork it got my interest.

Later, Texas Paul
