Will and I made it out the door and we made it home.  We ran the high school route.  We stopped every so often to wipe Will's nose.  I was tired and my throat was sore.  I believe I've caught Will's cold.  Will complained a bit the last mile.

Katrina and I were joined by Sarah, who had a baby at the end of June.  We ran together for 2.5 miles, then Sarah turned around and went back.  She wanted to just do four miles.  I hope I am running four miles two months after I have my baby. Well thinking about it more, a good goal for then is three miles everyday.

It took fifteen minutes to talk Will into getting into the jogging stroller.  He kept requesting, "Walk?"  I told him he could walk after my run, but that's not what he wants.  However, we did get out the door and we both enjoyed ourselves.

When we got back, Will played outside for a half an hour.  Then we went inside for a snack and to watch Thomas and Friends.

I did another tempo run.  I can't believe how out of shape I am, but whatever.  Nothing is lost that I can work to get back... eventually.

Pretty humid today--79%.  But, it's very cloudy and a wonderful breeze.  It's a lovely 79 degrees that feels like 82 (so I am told).  Needless to say, I was dripping sweat when I was done.

I pushed the run, probably more so than a true tempo run.  It felt good to go fast.  I tried to treasure the moment since it will be a while until before I'll feel fast again.  I did pay for the fast pace a bit.  A half a mile into my cool down, I felt pretty sick.  But, the sickness has mostly subsided now (thirty minutes after the run).

Here are my mile splits.

8:31--a bug flew in my eye

8:39--finally got the bug out

8:33

I really enjoyed the run.  I hope to squeeze in a few more tempo runs before I become too slow.  We'll see what pans out.

I met up with Katrina and Erin at six am.  It was super humid and already 73 degrees.  That made for an uncomfortable run.  Well... a harder run.  We all were glad when it was over.  We ran from Katrina house down to the river, then over to the medical school, and then up Melrose to the park by Katrina's--a very fun loop.
