Keep running. Move into triathlons and get stronger. Keep succeeding at half marathons and the occasional marathon.

Personal:

I know Sasha from the CS program at BYU. We both graduated in 1997. He probably doesn't remember me, because he was definitely more vocal in class and among the students than I was.

Married to Teresa with 3 kids: Anders (4), Kristian (9), and Zoe (12).

Fluent in Danish, but there is obviously very little need for that.

I've been scraping and icing every night before bed, and it's been helping. I got up this morning and actually felt good enough to walk around without pain, so I decided to try a run. The first mile was pretty rough, but again- stretching and slowly warming up helped. After the stretch at mile 1, I was good to go the usual 6.5 miles. I felt pretty good and finished strong with no pain. Good sign.

So I guess I’m an activist at heart. I noticed we’ve only had 13 votes but 144 views and there are more of you out there. Hey Craig. I just read some of your stuff, hope you recover from your injury. I read where you came in 2nd at the Squatter's 5K to my little brother Nate Hornok. He does sometimes sport a mohawk which is funny cause he's not a really outgoing guy, but he is a great runner. I did one training run with Salt Lake fit by Hogle zoo one time (I think it was that group). My name is Jesse. I'm sure I'll probably see you at a local race. If you wait around for just 2 or 3 minutes, I'll be right behind you! :-) Take care.

So that was Nate that passed me! I thought it was, from what Sasha wrote. But we weren't sure. Now I know. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am on the mend and running again- I just need to back off the fast stuff for a few weeks.
