Ran the full route with Randy this morning. He is a lot faster than I am, so he pulls me along at a faster pace than I would normally run. It will get faster after he has been running a few more times.

Weather was great. I wore shorts and a t-shirt. My upper leg and butt still hurt when I start out and kind of nag at my the whole time, but not enough to stop me. I'm ready for the summer.

That's cool that you have a training partner to push you. I've got my son who tags along sometimes on a bike but I usually have to yell at him to stay close and quit daydreaming. :)

I know what you mean. Once my daughter was riding along and said "Dad, how come you're jogging and not running?"

I'm in town for a while. We should get together for a run some time.

Haha. Kids are so inadvertently hilarious sometimes. The other day my son says to me near the end of my run, "Cmon dad you can do it, run hard all the way to the house." I turned to him and said, "Nah, I'm in my cooldown." He replied w/ a straight face, "Cool down? What's that? Is that where you pass out?"

I'm planning on doing an early morning long run on Saturday if you're interested? I'm hoping to do 18 or 20 slow miles. I don't know where you work but I can also meet you on the greenbelt anywhere from Municipal to Ann Morrison Park during my lunch hour next week.

Saturday won't work for me -- kid stuff. How about next Saturday?

Sounds good. We'll play it by ear though. Never know what will come up w/ honey do's kid stuff etc. BTW, here's a link to some guy's flickr page w/ a ton of pics of Robie: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27896276@N02/sets/72157616915818683/

If you look on page 9 of the Robie thumbnails you'll see that we were running together last Saturday and didn't even know it. I'm number 1703 w/ the beard and blue Nike hat just behind you and to your right if you're looking uphill. How funny is that?

That is funny. If only you could have held it in for another mile our finish times might have been about the same. Let's check back next week about that run on Saturday. Good luck with tomorrow's long run.
