New York City, NY

Planned on doing a few miles after work. We started at Matt's hotel near the Empire State Building and ran to the East River. We ran on the paths along the river for a while and got to the place where we planned on turning around. But we saw the Brooklyn Bridge up ahead and decided to run to it. When we got there we decided that since we where there, and might never be there again, we decided to run across it. When we got to the other side, we decided to run over to the Manhattan Bridge. When we got off of the bridge we were in Chinatown, and kind of lost. We stopped at a drug store and bought some Gatorade and the worked our way back over to the river and back the way we came.

About ten miles into it Matt's calf started cramping up pretty bad, so we went Jeff Galloway for the last two miles. Run a while, walk a while. When we finished Matt kept appologizing for ruining the run. I told him to shut up. He didn't ruin anything. It was one of the coolest runs of my life and was a lot more fun than it would have been by myself.

That is awesome. Last time I was in the Big Apple I wasn't a runner. Can't wait to go back. Running through Central Park would be a blast. Heading to DC the end of April so I'm hoping to get in a run by the WH and/or some of the monuments.
