Lunch - hard workout today on the treadmill. 1/2 mile workout to shake the legs loose at 8:30 pace, the on to the meat of the workout: Tempo run of 5 miles at 6:40 pace. I ended up adding to the difficulty of the workout by making the last 1/2 mile of the tempo run at 6:00 pace. 1/2 mile cooldown at 8:30 pace, and I was pretty tired (not to mention absolutely soaked) after that. Got myself some gatorade to replentish my glycogen stores, which helped. |
