| | Had practice at 2 but met with Asa, Josh, and Collin to get some miles in before that. 5 miles across pioneer to the Broadhead's at 7:16 avg. After we went to UtahRun and tried on some sick shoes. The Nike Pegasus 31's were only 75 bucks and felt pretty good. Then we tried some green Hoka Clifton 2's and those felt sweet so I went back and bought em. Then we watched Dude Perfect stereotype vids, played Madden, and did some flips on the tramp.
At practice ran 7, my watch was dead so I dont know the pace. Fun last day of summer.

| | First day of SENIOR YEAR!!!! today. Ran 5 miles while I was "being a teacher aide for jamie" Ran in the ol Cliftons and they felt good. The tongue is weird tho on one of the shoes so I might switch them out for a different pair. 7:05 avg on the paved trail thing by my house. Its on Redwood Road so im just gonna call it the redwood trail.
After School did mile warm up. Then to the groval for pre meet. One 800. Then finish up miles. Im feeling good for Highland tomorrow. Its the weirdest thing ever thinking this is my last xc season for Lehi. The four years have floooowwwn by. Gonna make every race count.
Shout out to everyone that came to the carb load party. And shout out to Mama Arnell for being the chef. It was sick. Ate tons of good food, played some smash bro's and ping pong. Fun times with the homies.

Highland Invite (2.9 Miles) 00:15:13, Place overall: 8 | | Wanted to warm up 2 but got a late start so went 1.6 ish. I had been hydrating well all day but still felt kinda tired because of the heat. Didn't get any strides on the line cuz we got there late. We were on the very outside box but I got a decent start so it wasn't too bad.
Race was said to be 2.9 and my card said 5:15 avg. On my gps, a couple steps after I crossed the finish line, I got it for 2.94 and 5:12 avg. My splits were 5:12, 5:14, and 5:08 pace for the .94. Didn't think I was in that good of shape to start the season so I was really happy.
So the first mile was perfect. I just wanted to feel the race out. I was back in place, but I was feeling good so I had energy to move up through out the rest of the race. Me and Ryan were continually passing people the entire race. I dont know if I'd say blew by, but we passed with authority awesome guys like Garret Barton, Payton Riggs, Colter Blanchard and Logan MacKay . Freaking logan tho, he finished only 2 seconds behind me when I was way ahead of him, he always has a crazy kick. Finished 8th place overall and the team finished 3rd ugggghghghghghghhgh!!!!! 3 points behind Timpanogos. Top two got trophies, so once again we fall one place short. Even tho I was disappointed, it was a good overall race and we are gonna improve way more and this season is gonna be awesome.
Shout out to Ethan Field my boy from Sky View. Follow him on insta @efisherf and @my.backyard for sick pics. He got 11th and 15:19! He has improved so much! He killed it so hard.

| | Shout out to Sam, a new kid on the team that moved from Davis High. One mile warm, then we ran his 4 miles with him, 7:53 avg. He's just getting back into shape, but his pr is 17:40. It was really hot outside (same as what adam said in his blog, shout out to the st geezy guys, 90 degrees kills me) and the air hasn't been the healthiest, so Thom, Nug, and I finished our 3 miles on the treadmill in the fitness center at 7:30 to 7:13 pace.
Everyone tell my Boost awesome job because they are now in the 1000 mile club!!!! #partyemoji's Hopefully my new Hoka's can join them in a few months.
Shout out to Collin for letting Austin and I come hang at his house. I missed the last few days of pull ups so we did 40 and got h*cka swole. Then we played mario kart and smash bros. We started our 99 live fight and put the damage ratio up, but it wasn't enough and we should have just played on super sudden death mode, so bordom got to us at 65 lives remaining. Austin won, I got second, and Collin got third. But I narrowly got the most kills. Austin had 39 and I had 40 :)

| | Nice run with Asa, Austin, Collin, and Thom. We ran up Airport across the dip to smiths and back. Average pace 7:31. After went to Collins and did some more pull ups and mario kart. Then went to roxberry with the mama and saw my homie Jamison Wilkes! Shout out to him. I'll see him and the LP crew at grass relays next week. Along with AF, Des Hells, Timp, its gonna be a sweet race.
Shout out to my home boy Sean Hagert cuz he's running for the university of miami right now, so make sure you're checking out his blog @d'brickasean
