Shout out to Chase Heiner from provo for breaking the state record at the davis invite. He got 21.35! and he still got 2nd! The winner was carlos salcido from Rock Springs Wyoming with a time of 21.34....crazy stuff.

I'm not sure what to run at byu, I'm running the mile for sure, but not sure if I should run the 2 mile the day before, the 800 a few hours before, or just run the mile. any suggestions

Good 9 mile distance run out by american fork and the gazibo. Stayed conservative on the way back cuz I need some recovery. 6:54 average pace. Shout out to everyone that wished me a happy birthday or will wish me a happy birthday in the next 5 and a half hours

Track workout today. It was 2x 200 800 400 200 200. The 2's and 4's at mile, 800 at 2 mile. 200's were good. We were way fast on most of them because ryan was being a dumb and sprinting them. I was perfect on the 800's which is the most important part. Didn't run the last 200 on the last set cuz I got a weird extrememly painful side ache. Finished up 9 and then hung with mikie and the boys at the tri meet. It was sick. We went to macey's and drank some chocolate milk. After the meet me and brady and matt went to the spring, then went over to Brady's for pancakes. I cant believe in a few months all my senior buds are gonna be gone. I'm gonna have no friends

Distance run today. We ran to the cemetary in AF. Then once we got back 4*150 meters build ups. Shout out to Beautiful Brad Barton. He ran for lehi and graduated the year before I got there. My freshman cross country season he ran with us and was an assistant coach before he left on his mission. Well he's been back for a few months and is now gonna train with us for a little while.

Shout out to Coach Jamie for finally joining the fast running blog family and posting something. She also gave me a shout out and it almost made me cry.

Shout out to Math Addict Mitch. He's one of the many Pine View kids with a sick blog, go check it out

Everybody had something to do so I ran all by myself today. 8 miles at around 7 minute pace with 3 down hill strides. After we went to the spring and it was sick as usual.

Shout out to me cuz I got a letter from Emory University in Atlanta

Watched the 2 mile at byu and then we went for our run. We did a few miles and then stopped at provo high school and did pre meet. I did my 400's in 67 and 66. Then finished up a few miles. I drove home with collin and the traffic was aweful so it took us an hour and a half to get home. We went to the spring and did a mile and a half shake out. Then we ice bathed in the creek cuz the spring was turned off. Something that raised hell was that we found three dead fish in the bottom of it. Hopefully I wasn't stepping on them.

Running the 1600 tomorrow and I'm super pumped. I'm in the fastest heat of the sections. Qualifying for state is the goal. A good quote I have in mind. "Will it hurt. Yes. Will it be worth it. Absolutely."

Ran 2 miles warm up way too early. Me thom and sean sat around for almost an hour after we warmed up waiting for our heats to roll around. Wasn't sure how I was feeling. Some of my best races are that way. When I'm not sure, I just go out and race. Right before I raced I had a front row seat watching sean win his heat with a 4:24.80! Insane! I don't know how he does it, he always gets insane pr's at byu. He missed state by just a little bit so that stinks but I know he will qualify at region. Thom got 4:29 and broke into the 20's so that was sick as well.

Got out well the first part. First lap was a 65. Maybe a lil slow but still just under pace. Second lap was a 67 so I was at 2:12 which is good. I'm getting better at sticking with the others and running better middle laps. The third lap jamie told us to do 5 little strides to keep the legs going and keep on pace. I did every time there was a gap. I remember Nic Demler was a few meters ahead and I surged a lil and closed it. I remember thinking that I needed about a 65 last lap to get state, so that means about 3:19. I was kinda wiped out from the surges but with 300 to go I guess I found a second wind and closed hard. With 100 to go I told myself you've ran on pace for 1500 meters, yur sure as heck not gonna lose it right now. Got second in my heat behind Travis Feeny. Got 4:23.25. Bill says I coulda won the heat but I can worry about that some other day, I was focused on qualifying and I did that so I'm happy.

After the race my legs were sooooo tired. I wanted to die but I fast walked to my fam and celebrated with them for a lil and then went and gave jamie a bear hug cuz I was turnt af. In such a studded field it was awesome to come out in second place. I was so happy on the cool down I just wanted to sprint it. After I finished up miles I just sat around and watched the amazing performances. Such as my boys from the blog Garek and Conner wrecking the mile. Oh my gosh they are bomb. It was such a fun race to watch. Orems 4x100 got a state record 41.46. Dylan got a 1:55. Sara Musselman (my gf) got a 30 second pr in the 2mile yesterday and then slayed the mile today.

Shout out to Jamie for being the most bomb coach ever and helping me reach my goals. I also wouldn't be as good with out my baller teammates that push me everyday, I love you guys #lehitrack #teampre

Ok, so now the plan is run the 800 at region and see how fast I can get that and then run the 32 and 16 at state. Goals are 9:20 and 4:22! SO PUMPED ITS GONNA BE SICK!!
