| | I was debating how far I should go today, but decided to go more than less. I wasn't sure what to do because I haven't been running much recently, but I remembered I felt sluggish at nationals last year, so I ran more to still feel good. I did a mile uphill in the canyon hard in 5:17, which wasn't great. My iPod then died, so I just ran hard on the downhill for a half mile before my calves hurt. I did a few uphill pushes too. Then 2 miles at night in the rain.

| | 4.08 with Ethan, Stockton, and Jordan Hunt. The pace didn't feel too bad after the first mile, but I kept having to back off and remind myself I have a race this week. We would get into a rythym and then someone would ask Ethan for the pace, and it would be sub-6, so we'd slow down. I'm pretty confident with this weekend, I just need to race smart. Great weather today, probably the warmest it's been in a few weeks.

| | 4.5 about. 1.5 mile warm up, then I was going to do a 1000m like on Saturday, but I went too fast and it wasn't even close on the rest or fast. I ran a 300m in 46/47 and then stopped it because I knew I needed to be closer to the pace. Then I did it again and hit 49, then 55 on the "rest" and 32 and 34 on the "rest." After I did a 200m with Stockton and we hit 26. It was good. Over 1.5 miles cool down.

Footlocker West (3.107 Miles) 00:15:39, Place overall: 5, Place in age division: 5 | | A different race. It was super strange to start racing again, and I struggled on the hills, but I made nationals again, and so did 2 other Utahns(Garek and Josh), so that will be cool to both be running next week. I'll write more later. I started by Cubby and Matthew Maton, so it was a repeat of starting by a West Champion, and an Alta kid.
