XC-Around a mile warm up, then we were supposed to hit 3 miles tempo. My throat was hurting so I decided to pace Ethan for his tempo. I felt pretty good, so I'm thinking I'll go tempo later today. 1 mile cool down afterward.
PM-5 miles easy. I was planning on tempo, but I didn't run until after dinner, and my stomach hurt too bad to push it. I either ate too much, or just way too many grapes, but my stomach felt like it was out in front of me by a yard.

5 miles tempo with 2 miles cool down. Mile splits: 4:55 (downhill), 5:45 (uphill, but felt really slow), 5:25(uphill, then downhill, just felt slow), 5:10 (downhill, my legs were hurting from the third mile.), 5:55 (uphill, and I was really hurting this mile.) 2 miles cool down at 8 min. mile pace. I could feel yesterday's runs in the my legs.

| | Not a very good run for me today. I was planning on 8 miles at 5:36 average pace (if I could get that pace), but it didn't work out too well. I did 3 miles in 16:30, but then on the fourth my acheillies(?) started hurting, and I've known too many people with injuries from it, so I stopped my watch and just jogged the rest of the 4th mile. I then was just tired the rest of the time. I took a break after that mile, and started running down the canyon, hoping to keep up a good pace. I didn't keep the pace I wanted (5:30), but was close (5:31-2). I feel like I pushed it, but my time doesn't show it for what I felt. 1 mile cool down after. | Add Comment |
| | AM-Just under 8, but I'm not sure by how much. XC upper canal. I ran with Tyson and whoever else came every once in a while. It felt pretty good. | Add Comment |
| | 2.2 mile warm up to the Sky View track, then I planned on doing a 5k at tempo pace. I didn't expect this to bad that hard of a workout, but after about 6 laps I decided to split up the 5k. I did 6 laps, then 4 laps, then 2.5 laps. I did an easy 400m in between them all. My first 6 laps were in 7:27.8. I felt pretty good. After I did the 1600 in 4:55, then I did the last 1000m in 2:59. After I did 2.2 miles cool down back to my house. | Comments(2) |
