AM-5 easy. WAY slower than I wanted to have them, and for a long while I could smell skunk.
PM- 6 track workout. 1.5 miles warm up. We did 8X200m at our R-pace. I was supposed to hit a 31, and I was right on every time. We did an easy 200m in between. I felt great for this first part. Then we did an 800m (with a tiny bit more of recovery. 200m, just we walked the first 100m) and I was supposed to hit a 2:08, but I just couldn't get it done. I ran a 2:16, which is 8 seconds slow, but I think the reason I went slow was because of all the people just bearly came out onto the track and I tried to pass someone and they just kept cutting me off. After 2 miles cool down. | Add Comment |
| | Track Practice- 7 miles. 1.5 warm up, then 6X1000m repeats with 1 minute break in between. They were supposed to be at tempo pace(5:09 pace) but mine were anywhere from 12 to 5 seconds fast. I felt great, it was really warm and sunny, so that felt good. After we did a good cool down, then we did some hip and ab workouts. | Add Comment |

Blue and White meet (1 Miles) 00:04:27, Place overall: 1, Place in age division: 1 | | We had the Blue-and-White meet today, and I wasn't sure how much I was going to push it. We did a bit of warm ups, but then Kyler and I warmed up during the 3200, and then did a little more before the 1600. I felt great during the 1600, my 800m split was 2:12, and then I just kept a good pace and finished at 4:27. I then ran the 800m later for the second time ever in a 800m race, and ran around a 2:05-:06. My first 400m was 1:01, but after I just thought I had a PR(2:05) in the bag and slowed down a bit. Not the smartest move, but thats how it ended. After I went home and did 4 easy to get the 8 miles in for the day. | Comments(1) |

shamrock shuffle (3.107 Miles) 00:16:22, Place overall: 1, Place in age division: 1 | | I felt good. Had a good warm up, and went slower the first mile(5:30ish), because it was uphill then went fast on the downhill for the second mile(5:00, but the miles markers may have been off for these two miles) And then I just finished the race and crossed the line at 16:22. Zan was second, and Luis was 3rd. It felt good to be running a local 5k again. After I did over 3 miles, but I walked some with my dad and little brother. The weather was amazing, around 50 degrees at the end. Crazy how a month ago I was still running with two shirts, tights, a hat, and gloves.
