Went for a bike ride today and tried to make it interesting by going on some hills and taking a new road. It was a good route, but the wind was pretty strong and made it an interesting ride. I rode for over an hour, missed out on keeping track of miles & time because when I pushed stop at the red light stop, I forgot to push start when the light turned green. Twice. Oh bother. Got home and tried to run a little. Noticed that my piriformis wasn't thrilled with the change. After half a mile it was okay, but it took some convincing. Tried keeping the pace slow, but ended up running faster than I'd felt like I was. Not always a bad thing. Got "lucky" and got to do housework for most of the afternoon. Hooray. Even with the a/c on, I was sweaty by the end of mopping the floors. Guess doing housework made me "hot." I'm counting it as cross-training :-)
