more sleep- I just have to get some sleep on the week-ends. It was a 'rest' day or 'stretch video' day. I stayed in bed and chose rest.
When I got up, it was perfect running weather, so MR and I went for a 5 mile run. We went slow and had an avg pace of 9:50. Last 2 miles were faster, but mile 3 was a 10:08, and took our average up a bit.
Went for a 2 mile walk after dinner. Looking forward to my "recovery week" of p90x this week. |

Monday morning, and I didn't have to do shoulders & back :-)..... instead I "got" to do yoga for 92 minutes. Most of which is just fine, but I despise that warrior 3 half moon crap when I can't keep my leg up and I'm tipping over like a trailer in a tornado!
Got up early (3am) to get it done and VT before school. I'll probably need a nap this afternoon, but I was okay this morning since I had so much sleep this week-end.
Ran 4 miles with Wyatt. Super slow. My sore back of my butt/hip is starting to spread pain down my leg and feeling like maybe ITband. It hurts especially when I'm running on the edge of an inclined road. I rolled it out and stretched like crazy. Not happy with this new development.

My leg/hip hurts. I'm mad it's bothering me. I've cut back my miles drastically, so why is it acting up now? Does p90x cause ITband problems? If not, then what is causing this??
I didn't want to get up. I just wanted to quit and stop exercising until the pain was gone forever.... but by 5:30 everyone was up and making noise, and I was awake, so I did the core synergestics. It's a good workout and didn't bother my leg/hip much at all.
No running today, just more stretching.
Went for a bike ride with MR after work. Beautiful day- only got one bug that flew up my nose :-) We went 8.9 miles and ended up riding over some newly tarred joints in the road...our bike tires are covered in sticky and have rocks all over them. Even when we had rode 2 miles after the tar, the rocks were still sticking and I could hear the tar sticking to the road. How do I get that junk off my tires??? | Comments(6) |

Up early for p90x kenpo, then a run with my neighbor who is back from airborne school!! She earned her wings and is speedy fast now. I was so happy to have her back :-)))
We ran a good pace the first 2 miles, then her knee started acting up and we took a little break before running again at a slower pace. So good to visit & run again. Stretched the hip/leg out like crazy trying to stay on top of the pain. |

Sleep & stretch. I was so happy my p90x day today was stretching. I didn't have to drive for seminary either, so I got to sleep in till 5:30. What a dream come true :-)
And on a super-duper awesome note: Our principal is giving us lunch today!! Chili dogs & snow cones!!!! Yee-Haw!!
Called & put in a request for PT with my primary care. Hope she'll give me the request w/o having to get an appt first. My hopes aren't too high, but there's a little there.
Went for a jog with Wyatt after work. We took Fritz the dog out for a jog around the pond with us. We didn't have gps with us, so I just kept track of time. 39 minutes, so probably 3.5 miles. |

Kenpo x. Then stretching my hip- trying to work out the soreness.
Lots of sitting in the car driving to Raleigh & back. Sitting seems to aggrivate it.
Went to watch a movie, and half way through the theater lost power. Now I'll never know how Mission Impossible ends. | Add Comment |

Yoga X, then we drove little one & her friends to the mall so they could shop for dresses. While they were there, MR & I went and ran the perimeter of the flightline at the old AF base. It's 6.5 miles, and I knew I had a good downhill for the end so I finished with 8 miles.
Avg pace was 8:31. We ended up having to stop for one thing or another every 2 miles. I figured it was okay because during the dirty hog, we'll be stopping for "challenges" every now & again. |
