nice brisk walk 1 mile...ended up walking faster than I'd planned because the wind was making me cold and I wanted to get home & warm.
Love the Sunshine :-) | Add Comment |

Did warm ups inside, then ran the first mile slow...10:47 pace. Things were feeling great so I picked up the pace. 9:15 then 8:53 to finish up. The moon was so bright outside this morning, it was beautiful. Then as I was running back home, I could see the sunlight starting to light up the eastern sky. It was breath-taking. I've missed the sunlight during the dark winter. I'm going to be enjoying it during my morning runs for the next two weeks until daylight savings time pulls that rug out from under me.
Stretching & strengthening after. |

Loving the running, but still not in love with 4:30 am. So I got up at 5 and knocked out 4 miles. Overcast- the moon was giving off such a faint glow through the clouds it was hard to find it.
Tempo was 10:06, 9:08, 9:02, 8:56. Lost my red blinking light that I wear on my reflective belt, so when I got home I had to jump in the car and drive my route to see if I could find it. As i was driving I remembered one point in the run when I felt something on my leg, but I just thought it was a stray branch. I drove to that point, and there was my little red blinker, face down in the grass. I never would have found it if I hadn't remembered that spot. So hooray for small miracles!
Strengthening and stretching after...warmed up inside before. Great day. Missed the morning lights coming up when I was running because of the clouds, but when I was driving home from my lost blinking light adventure, the sky had turned a very pretty violet inbetween the clouds. Beautiful. |

2 hour school delay, so I stayed up late, and slept in late, but didn't really net any extra sleep hours.
It was nice to run in the daylight, although it was really overcast and I didn't get to enjoy the sun or the moon.
6 miles 35o - 9:58 for the first mile, then the others were around 9mm. The last .8 I was trying to go a little faster and had 8:29.
Stretching & strengthing. |

headed out a little earlier than I have been going this week- so no sunshine on my shoulders-
snooze button took up 2 miles worth of time, so I only got 4, but I tried to make them count
paces 10:08, 8:58, 8:35, 8:10 didn't have time for strengthening..I'll have to do it tonight

Went on an out and back on a less traveled road out in the country. No real shoulder on the road, but it wasn't very busy and we ran in the grass/dirt when we needed to.
went pretty slow, which was great because I wanted to go easy on my hip. paces were between 10:55 and 10:06..averaged about 10:30. Ran with a friend and Mr. rode the bike along with us for support/safety.
It's a good thing too, because just after mile 4, a HUGE sheep came darting out of a driveway and started running out after us! No joke about the sheep, but he wasn't a real threat...a car came by and he stopped and went back to his own yard. He was plopped down like a huge pile of fluffy stink when we ran back. I guess all the excitement wore him out.
Got to have a meet & greet with a mule & couple of horses too.
Nice run, great memories. |
