Starting to get used to semi-longer runs. Plan is to build up to roughly 50 on a six-day split with 3x5miles, 2x10 miles, and 1x15 mile by the time the Seattle Half rolls around, and then incorporate some speedwork for the next month and a half after that by the time the Nookachamps half rolls around. Ran at "faster" clip on the treadmill today because I had one of the ceiling gym fans blowing on me, but I'm not going to lie: it felt awesome, and the run felt intense too; not in effort (which, after two minutes of feeling pretty garbage was minimal), but just the way I'm starting to feel floaty again while doing aerobic. I'm running enough miles that I'm relearning how to run as efficiently as my tall (albeit skinny) self can. |
