Personal:

I go to TCU and am a member of the TriFrogs team here. I just started training for triathlons in August 2010. I ran track throughout high school, but always hated long distance until this summer. Something inside me snapped and I found out that I love it! Unfortunately, I got a stress fracture due to overtraining for a half marathon I was aiming to do in December, but I should be back on my feet soon! In the meantime, I've significantly improved in the biking and swimming! Stay tuned to watch me grow!

Had physical therapy later this morning and felt great, especially because they gave me the green light for running again!!! I'll start tomorrow!!! I'll be working on 1/2 mile increments. YAYAYAY!!!!!!

YAY you can run again! What was your stress fracture? I had a fibula that went full on fracture in 2009, it was the worst. Then I recently have been having ITB troubles, so that's why I'm forcing myself to love the elliptical, even though I'm not so sure about it either!

You know, there's another Callie on the blog, but she hasn't been blogging much lately. Also, she accidently created two blogs, so you may find that there at least 3 Callie's on the blog now, but really two are one. Confused yet?

Nicole, the stress fracture was on the outside of my left ankle. Luckily we caught it before it got too bad! Thank goodness for cross training, though, I think I kept my fitness mostly at the level I was at when I quit running, so I'm anxious to get back at it! Hope your ITB troubles go away soon!
