People who drive at night are mean.  We had a nice little thunder storm this morning.  So I slept in.  By the time it cleared up my wife was out running her errands.  So I had to wait 'til after dinner to go running.  Usually I wimp out.  But I couldn't have another week with less than 20 miles.  So I started running shortly after 10pm.  I still don't know who won the ASU/Idaho game.  I'll have to check on that.  I now remember why I don't like to run in the evenings.  Dinner did not sit well.  So I plugged along (trying not to enter the puke zone) to see how many miles I could get before midnight.  I did my neighborhood loop twice and my WalMart loop once.  I had two people sneak up and honk at me and one vehicle of girls holler at me.

Time - 1:45:11 (avg pace 9:16)

Splits - 8:28, 9:20, 9:04, 9:12, 9:29, 9:32, 9:24, 9:12, 9:13, 9:30, 9:33, (9:30 avg. for 0.34)

Temp - 73

Note - I checked the score.  ASU completely thrashed Idaho State.  It's almost too embarrassing to mention.  And blueberry pomegranate Gatorade is the best.

Well done on gettign out there

You should have run after midnight Burt, then you could have the #1 slot on the mileage board for a copule of hours LOL!

From Burt on Sun, Sep 06, 2009 at 03:26:43 from 98.167.151.26

I thought about it, Chris. But it wouldn't seem right, starting before midnight and getting most of my miles in on Saturday, just so I could log them in on Sunday. :)

Way to get out there and run, Burt! There's something about driving at night that hides people's identity and brings out the mean side in them. It must be sort of the same as people saying really mean stuff on internet discussion groups and comment boards when they can hide behind an anonymous screen name.

Well the shouting women wasn't so bad, but it did scare me. A little.

Burt - cat calls, running in the dark, scary fun. You must great in the in the dark? That is the only way I would get holla outs.

who cares about the ASU game anyhow? Everyone knows the *real* game was closer to the Mexican border ... U of A over Central Michigan 16 to 6.

Even though I don't really watch football, I do show school spirit!

I am glad you survived cat-calls and the evening run Burt.

Sorry to disappoint, but real game was even more south. Mexico beat Costa Rica 3-0 in soccer.

Cool running, way to hang in there. Running at night is hard for me since one is tired from the daytime activities. Next time ask the girls for a ride ...

;-) Eric -- actually that is quite an impressive score.
