Morning run was 9.89 miles.  After so many days off last week I wanted to get a good start and make sure the week at least got off to a good start (not that it helped me last week).  The morning run was decent... not hard... not easy although I did have an intentionally slow pace.  It is fun to start running in the dark and then continue running until it is day light! Total time running 1:53:03

After church I wanted to get some more miles in... for some reason I had in my mind that I at least wanted to get in 14 miles today to start off the week.  Well the temp. was about 55 with sunny skies and just an awesome day to be out running.  Well the 4 miles turned into 6 and then into finally 9.51.  My pace was pretty good too... my average pace was 9.34 min./mile and I was honestly not trying to push just going with what I had. Total time running 1:31:02.

Ok so here is the funny thing... still haven't lost but 5 lbs. since I started running over 2 months ago :-)  Although honestly...my pants do fit better! ha

Finally here is a funny story... true too!  Yesterday morning I started running about 4:30 am.  Well about 5:00 I go up into a cul-de-sac.  It is about 32 deg. F outside.  I see someone open a door and let a little dog out... well the dog sees me and instantly takes off barking "LOUD" typically dogs will stop at the property line but not this dog... he was wide open.  Ok so I stop running and get in kicking position (again the dog was small).  At this point I look up and a guy about 6'3" big beer belly in shorts... barefoot, t-shirt (remember it is 32 degrees F outside) comes out booking it... going 100 mph behind the dog!  After he picked the dog up I took a couple of steps and started to chuckle.  I know that guy was mad at that dog.... you gotta know he was half sleep being lazy when he cracked the door to let the dog out.  Probably thinking he would come back in 10 min. and let the dog in.  Well in summary his dog charged a neighbor, woke up other neighbors, and he had to run out into the street in his shorts to get him!  He may want to invest in a fence :-)
