PR's

5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

AM: (10 miles, 1:19:45).  25:19wu/24:14cd.  20 x :30 w/1` recovery.  Ran on a dirt road, some slight little "dips" but pretty flat overall.  Warmish, but not hot (85F) and sunny (which made it feel warmer).  I am excited as the lows this week should be in the 75F range ... yea!!

PM: 4 miles easy.

Busy.  I am behind in my class, I am behind in my work, I am just plain ole behind.  We are heading to SLC for a wedding this weekend, should be fun ... I can't wait to run in cooler weather again (despite the oxygen debt I will be in).

Have a great day bloggers!

Hey I think you deserve a day off work! :)

From your lips to Gods ear Dan!! I never really get a day off, but, on the bright side my schedule is "flexible" ;-)

How's it going?

By the way Dan, nice going on the race this weekend (sorry I did comment on it, I did see it and meant to!!). You were SO close to breaking 20!

Hey you sound like me, I work quite a bit, but I have a flexible schedule (unless there is some big meeting) which I like it that way. At least the weather was better for ya!

It is going well - thanks for asking. I am doing better than I deserve :)

Oh yes, I was close and knew it but just couldn't muster that last 1/2 mile sprint as fast as needed, but I was still happy. I got my friend Cassie on the Blog now (the one that always has a 5K to race- like another one this Sat!).

Man, your cooler sounds like our hotter. It is soooo cold here right now, I am like a popsicle.
