5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

44:27 (22:30/21:53).  WOW.  I was extremely happy about this run.  It was the first one I have done going on one of my "usual" routes.  I was surprised to see I was about 46 secs faster at my landmark than I used to be ... granted, I don't have as much stamina, but I am still rather surprised that I haven't lost more speed (I seriously expected to be 1-1:30 slower at the landmark).

I could feel my leg, but it did not hurt like it did before, and it didn't hurt as much as my hamstring does in my other leg (?).  It is throbbing now though, so I will go ice.  I really do like my compression socks/sleeves.

Have a wonderful day bloggers!  I am sure April has finished her marathon, I can't wait to see the results!!

i keep refreshing the page looking for april's results -- half marathon and 5k results just showed up, but no marathon yet! i am being impatient :)

great run today! so glad to hear your leg is doing better, although i am sorry about the hamstring. ice is good.

nice job Bonnie, glad to see you out and in good spirits.

what kind of compression sleeves are you using, CEP? zensah? I just got a pair of zensah calf sleeves and like them, but I still think the cheap mcdavid neoprene ones are the best for everyday training, they give the most support, but are too heavy for racing. and since they are neoprene they collect sweat and smell really really bad!

any word about auntieem's race? i couldn't find an auntieem in the results. :)

I know allie -- I am doing the same thing!! I found all my friends results from Chicago already, but no April!

Scott, I am wearing the CEP compression sleeves right now, I got a pair of the Zensahs - but the CEPs feel "tighter" and I like them more. I got a pair of the CEP socks too, but I am saving them for workouts/races/long runs. I don't know if I could handle the neoprene ones, it is still too hot here, I can barely stand the CEPs -- maybe when it (finally) cools off here. I also want to try some of the zxu's (one of my friends swears by them). I am looking for sales right now -- and then I will stock up ;-)

I think she dropped out ...

From Bonnie on Sun, Oct 10, 2010 at 14:44:51 from 64.119.33.134

She had results for 5K and 10K, and then nothing. Up to that point (still pretty early) she was on pace for a 3:42. I hope she is ok, she has exercise induced asthma and I know it was pretty warm today.

None of Greg McMillans elite athletes did well today either.

Glad you had a good run Bonnie!

Great job Bonnie!!! I am thrilled for you. I have to a CEP pair as well and I really like how 'tight' they feel.

From allie on Mon, Oct 11, 2010 at 18:57:32 from 174.23.232.22

i also have a pair of CEP sleeves. i wore them in my race saturday, just to test them out. they felt great. i am not sure i really have a reason to be wearing them, but i like how they feel and i think they will be beneficial to wear in colder temps.

as dan said - they are totally tight.

Nice to hear all those positive vibes Bonnie! But I'm surprised you didn't say a thing about how much you missed the FE ;)

From Bonnie on Tue, Oct 12, 2010 at 15:52:49 from 128.196.228.134

Oh Tom, me and the ol` FE are still BFFs, I can't wait to drop her ;-)
