4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:45:31(52:32/52:58).  Jeremy Ranch Road.  Ran much faster (over a minute at mile 5) than last week.  Was suprised actually, since I felt horrible the whole time.  When I feel badly I actually run faster, in part to get the run over with, and in part because I feel so bad that I don't feel any better when I slow down ;-).  I had a really awful headache all day ... it felt a little better while I was running (dilation of blood vessels?).  Anyway, because I was running faster this week, the run was likely longer than 12 miles.  I did not negative split - but I did not really try.  It was a better overall effort than last week - but the hills on the way back took their toll.

I'm very impressed that you can run faster when feeling worse. That's toughness! Hope you lose the headache today. Sounds a little like a stress headache. Take care.

Hi Snoqualmie! You had a great run yesterday! I think you are right about the stress, though it could have been dehyradation too (with all the flying and whatnot) or lack of sleep. I feel better today, thank you.

Hey Bonnie! Sorry we didn't get to meet up while you were here, although it sounds like we were close on Saturday morning! Oh well, congrats on possibly finding a place to live! Hope the rest of your trip was successful as well! November is the move date?

The race was in Reid Park??? I am so sorry we couldn't make it. Dean's son visiting really made time even tighter! I think we have a place to live. It is a little further away from the U of A than we had wanted, but we fell in love with the view. It is in the NW (near Shannon and Ina) about 1.5 miles from the River trail. We will most likely be in town sometime the week of the 20th - and will have some time before our job starts. We will have to have you guys over (to see the view).

Your pictures were stunning (from your wedding). The rainbow was beautiful! Was Lazlo crying? You could tell he was so happy and in love.

Yeah, the race was on the golf course at Reid Park :) I bet you DO have a gorgeous view from Shannon/Ina... is it a house or apartment? I used to work up on that side of town, and driving to/from work I had the best sunrise/sunset views and city views at night!

Yes, Laszlo cried (a lot)! :) I got teary as well, but not as much as him! It was great! :)

At any rate, looking forward to finally meeting you in November! Hope the last couple months are smooth! :)

Thanks for the well-wishes Lauren. What a softy Laszlo is!

It is a house (with a very very cool backyard!). BBQ time pretty darn soon!
